Important Notice

This website provides general information about legal rights and is intended for educational purposes only. The information on this site does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such. Reading this website or contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the NY Construction Advocate website ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this Site.

2. No Attorney-Client Relationship

The use of this website does not create an attorney-client relationship. The information provided on this Site is for general informational purposes only and is not legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is formed until you have signed a written retainer agreement with an attorney.

If you submit a case evaluation form or contact us through this Site, your information will be reviewed by Haddock Law to evaluate your potential case. However, this review does not create an attorney-client relationship, and we are under no obligation to accept your case or provide legal services.

3. Attorney Advertising Disclosure

This website is operated by NY Construction Advocate, a licensed New York attorney. This website constitutes attorney advertising. Prior results described on this website do not guarantee a similar outcome in your case.

If you contact us through this Site, your case will be reviewed by Haddock Law. If co-counsel is brought in to strengthen your case, any fee-sharing arrangement will be fully disclosed to you in writing before you sign any agreement.

4. Informational Purposes Only

The content on this Site, including information about Labor Law 240 and construction accidents, is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. This information:

  • Is not legal advice and should not be treated as such
  • May not reflect the most current legal developments
  • May not apply to your specific situation or jurisdiction
  • Should not be acted upon without seeking professional legal counsel

Every legal situation is unique. The outcome of any case depends on many factors specific to that case. You should consult with a qualified attorney about your specific situation before making any decisions.

5. No Guarantee of Results

Nothing on this Site should be construed as a promise or guarantee about the outcome of your case. Each case is different, and past results do not guarantee similar outcomes in future cases. The information about verdicts, settlements, or case results (if any) on this Site represents results in particular cases and does not constitute a guarantee or prediction about your case.

6. Use of the Site

You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use of this Site by, any third party. You may not:

  • Use this Site for any unlawful purpose

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THIS SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THIS SITE OR ANY CONTENT ON THE SITE.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NY Construction Advocate, its operators, and any affiliated attorneys from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of this Site or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of this Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York.

13. Statute of Limitations Notice

Time limits apply to legal claims. If you have been injured in a construction accident, there are strict deadlines for filing a lawsuit. In New York, the general statute of limitations for personal injury claims is three (3) years from the date of injury. Claims against government entities may have much shorter deadlines. Failure to act within these time limits may result in the permanent loss of your legal rights. If you believe you have a claim, you should consult with an attorney immediately.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this Site. Your continued use of the Site after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
